Fans of Famous Sam's Restaurant and Sports Bar know it's the place to be for good-tasting food, including Sam's famous overstuffed "Samwiches," starring the Sam's Famous Hot Pastrami and Cheese! Offering more than just good-food, Sam's is a friendly spot where visitors and neighborhood folks gather. Kids are also welcome at Sam's; they even have their own menu! Nine pool tables are available for billiards' buffs and various sporting events can be seen year round on any of the 21 TVs including two big-screens.
Music and dancing highlight Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Sam's: Thursday, it's ladies' night; Friday and Saturday night live music and dancing begins at 8:30 p.m.
While in the area, be sure to schedule a stop at Tucson's San Xavier Mission. Built in the late 18th century, the mission has Spanish colonial architecture and an interior adorned with colorful artwork. Called the "White Dove of the Desert," the mission is located on the Tohono O'dham Indian Reservation. Those into gaming will want to check out the scene at the Casino of the Sun, owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Nation.
